It is quite unusual to enter a dentist's surgery and feel in a sort of photographic gallery: you are first welcomed by the pleasant sight
of an aquarium placed in the entrance hall and then attracted by the beauty of large prints of fish of all kinds overlooking you from the surgery walls. This is the setting of Franco Chiossi's workplace, an indication that his
medical profession cannot keep him entirely away from his special interest
in underwater photography. On the other hand, the people of his hometown Ronciglione, a
lovely medieval
resort between Rome and Viterbo, seem to appreciate Franco's wish to offer them
the view of relaxing underwater scenes while at the surgery. The pictures shown on this site make up a selection of what Franco Chiossi
has been photographing in recent years, including a section dedicated
to cities and places he has been visiting on his way to suitable
underwater settings.
